"Dragonwolf" is one interesting action movie between two close friends. At first, I thought that this was a movie about dragons and wolves battling out on who's the greatest and fiercest beast but it was not. The movie features two best of friends who ends up fighting one another to their death just because of one girl.
Julius The Master
Julius was the only trusted friend of Mozart. He was also the one who took care and trained Mozart on how to fight. So in short, Julius was Mozart's master.
When Mozart's mother died, Julius tends to comfort his lonely friend with a candy placed on a small box (and often asks, "Do you want some candy?"). These all started their strong bond of friendship.
Mozart Who Possess a Wolf Heart
Mozart was supposed to die when he was young that his medical doctor gave up on treating him. Due to this reason, his mother consulted a Shaman who agreed to cure Mozart in exchange of her soul.
The Shaman was able to cure Mozart by replacing his dying heart with a wolf's heart.
The Girl Named Mary
Mary was actually a girl who was ordered by the top most gang leader to cause conflict between the two friends. At first, she successfully made Julius fell in-love with her. Then secretly, she tried to make a secret affair to Mozart.
When Julius found out their secret relationship, this started their epic battle.
The Ending
Both Julius and Mozart settled their differences on a sword fight. Unfortunately, Mozart was at the disadvantage because he went through a lot of fighting before facing his friend. Thus, he ends up being beaten.
But when Julius was about to finish his friend with his knife, he didn't anticipated Mozart's quick hand where he reversed it and drove it right into his stomach. However, Mozart was actually also dying. The doctor from the hospital who medically checked him claims that he was surprisingly alive where his heart was continuously pumping due to Adrenaline Rush. This means that if he rests, he dies. No wonder why he kept on fighting even during the night.
When both fell down on the ground, the top fat leader of the gang suddenly came out of nowhere revealing the whole truth between the two dying friends. His reason was that, he needs to get rid of them both because they were climbing the ladder-position very fast. This made him worried that he may get replaced by them sooner or later.
At the end, both friends became friends again. But this time, they were both dying. Well, they spent a few time being together before they died.
It may seem not a very good ending since the bad guy prevailed. But, I'm glad that an assassin (a girl saved by Mozart) took revenge for them.
Overall, Dragonwolf is a very nice action movie featuring martial arts and sword fighting scenes. I really enjoyed those amazing martial arts moves. Mozart including those he fought were all expert martial artists. I can tell it through their precise execution of kicks and punches. The only downside of this movie is that, they are not good at acting.
